Log Entry 9/5 2007

I received feedback from Dr. Elmfors today. She said that it was a G project and to be frank, I and everyone else are darn well content with it. We have had so many ups and downs as I told Dr. Elmfors, people not being present and so on that it is as great as ever to receive a G. Of course, the nature of our subject and the contents of the project could be expanded indefinetley. But for now, this will suffice for Gymnasium. At some point in the future I may well embark upon a new project on the subject.

The news articles that I have collected have proven to be a source of inspiration for at least Eric, Nakita I do not know if she ever got one, eventhough I meant to give her.

Thus far, I feel my part in the project have been mostly administrational, it was I that came with suggestions, editing, project management etc. This has resulted in my written work consisting mainly of this project log and editing in the other group member´s work, which is a shame. Log Entry 2/5 2007

Project is in, Nakita is in Turkey and Eric and I feel a little relieved. But there is no reason to slack off. The project can be improved further and articles added to the existing ones. The climate is ever changing; though, it may be with or without human influence and project should reflect this. Eric has watched a movie which he has numerous copies of that rejects the theory that global warming is traceable to human activity and we as a group should watch it.

If we could we would work on the project every day until the deadline. This will not happen as there are other school-matters that requires attention (homework, tests, graduation and so on). It would have been much better if the school had given us a catch-up/project week the week before the deadline. In overall, the school should have handled project work better, but this can not be helped at this time. For next year though, better planning and scheduling would have helped more groups to successful projects. The option to work on whatever they want would also be of help in bettering the projects of the third years. There are many...

Log Entry 27/4 2007

Dear Group,

Today is the day the draft should be handed in of our project work. It is also the last day KlimatKampen is to be handed in. However, we will abandon the competition and focus on writing thouroughly on this project and the criterias of this school.

The draft handed in today is not our final project. The days from now untill 11th of may are for further writing on the project. Unfortunatley Naktia will be unavailable during this period because she goes to Turkey on vacation. Eric and I will produce more articles and further polish the existing ones, because even without feed-back from our mentors, there is lots of obvious things to be done. When we finally do get feedback on our drafts then hopefully, we have already fixed most of the objections and faults in the project at this point. Can we somehow do this, concentrate on developing the project and making it substantial, then we can really manage it. Though, we have enormous, monstrous and inhumane amount of work ahead of us apart from project work...

It has been a tough Easter holiday. Originally I thought of working solely on the project this week; instead, I had to work on everything that has been postponed to after the Easter holiday. I am not finished with that, nor have I made better progress on the project. Eric and me have both posted some of our stuff on the new blog. However if this is all we got thus far, I am afraid this project will fail.

Hi both of you, Nakita and Eric!

Eric and I discussed earlier today about our project. For one thing we decided that we all as a group should meet this Sunday to have a discussion and maybe work on the project. The other thing we came up with was to post all our work on a blog on the internet. In this way we can keep updated with how our project proceeds as a whole and we can both add things to the articles posted. You see, project work is all about team work and a blog is a fabulous way of communicating with each other and at the same time presenting the project in a nice and neat way.

The thing goes like this; point to www.wordpress.com and sign up for a username. You do not need to sign up for a blog - I already did. When you have gotten your username I want you to send me an email about it so I can add you to the ´staff´ on http://projectenv.wordpress.com/. Log Entry 17/3 2007

Next meeting with group: Monday 19th of Mars at 10:00 in library. The first meeting in a long time will sort out loose ends and get people start working. I suggest we make weekly milestones to be completed from now until week 17. By then the project is to be handed in. We have to evoke feelings with this project because it is not experimental and just based on research. Therefore an appealing campaign run by us in the school to make people reduce their carbon footprint and to teach them about the cons and facts about global warming, would be a creative idea.

Just to announce for those expecting more posts this week; www.blogdog.se had an update of their service this week implementing some new neat features and during this time blogers were unable to make posts. Oh by the way, check out our position on Bloggtoppen!
